A recent change in Ownership and Name has taken place. The new owners are the Wintu tribe of indians located in Redding and who also have run the Win-River Casino and Hilton Gardens Hotel. The golf course is located between these two amenities along South Bonneyview Road. The name is now River Tasalmi, the Tasalmi portion is the Wintu word for Oak which surround the golf course.

River Tasalmi Golf Club is a Semi-Private Golf Club right in town along the Sacramento River just south and across from Riverview Country Club.  This short and level par 32, nine hole course has homes and the river surrounding it.  The conditions are generally good, club amenities include tennis, restaurant with catering, pro shop, and a netted area for warming up.

The golf course is primarily surrounded by nice custom built homes.  A small neighborhood composed of a couple streets.  On the golf course there is ample room for wayward golf shots on some shots and very tight on others, you'll find the large oak trees create more of an obstacle than the homes. This golf club is a shot makers dream with tight fairways and small greens.  The eight and ninth holes are particularly interesting.  Eight is a par 4 with a very tight area around the green water left and OB right.  The ninth hole is a par three with a dramatic shot that must carry water to a well protected green with large trees on each side as you can see in the pictures above.   (more River Tasalmi real estate information).
