This
Tournament is limited to 30 teams and is handled by
application / invitation only. It is held generally
at the end of April or first week in May at Wilcox
Golf and Country Club.
Professionals: 30
Club Pro's fight it
out for the $5000 first place purse.
Amateurs: A great time can be had over the Sunday and Monday
tournament with the prize fund rewarding those teams
who performed well. Separate Saturday and Sunday is the Horse races.
Format: Teams
of 5 consisting of 4 amateurs and 1 pro compete over
2 days in a 1 gross ball, 2 net ball competition. By
adding the three balls that count on each hole over the
two days the winning team emerges. A separate
competition intertwined within the tournament is for the
Low Amateur, an optional "buy in" prior to the
tournament is available for those interested. |

This Tournament held at River
Bend Golf and Country Club is similar to a traditional
pro-am, other than there are no pro's. The similarity
is in the format, a Five person team competes while
counting one gross ball, and two net balls per hole over
two days of competition. An optional Friday practice
round is included in the event for the
participants.
There
is the primary team competition, while at the same time an
individual competition is taking place with two
handicapped flights and a low gross flight. |

Held the first weekend after the
Memorial Day Holiday. This Golf Tournament is the most prominent
amateur tournament in Redding. Held at Gold
Hills Golf Course with the primary sponsor being the
local newspaper, the Record Searchlight.
This NCGA
points tournament sports a field of approximately 100
players with between 20-30 being the the championship
flight fighting for the City
Champion title.
Format: The
tournament has different flights for competitors,
mainly handicapped flights for golfers in specific
handicap ranges. The tees used is dependant upon the
flight that you play in. After the Saturday and
Sunday competition your total net score is totaled up
along with the others in your flight and the top finishers
are rewarded.
The Championship flight is played
without the benefit of handicaps from the back tees over
the two day schedule. |

This
Tournament is played on Fathers Day weekend, generally the
third weekend of the month at Riverview
Golf and Country Club.
Friday
each year is the Practice Round for participants, while
the Pro Am is primarily held on Saturday and Sunday.
Monday a cut takes place and is reserved for the qualifying
low pro's and low amateurs to determine the champion in
each division.
Professionals: 50
pro's, some Club Pro's others Mini Tour players fight it
out for the $6500 first place purse. The purse is
the largest in the area for the winning
professional. There is also a Senior Pro category
available for those who qualify with a large
purse. After the Saturday and Sunday rounds of
competition a cut is made for the final round on Monday.
Amateurs: The
200 amateurs can have a great time over the Saturday and
Sunday tournament with the prize fund rewarding those
teams who performed well. The Low Amateurs have an opportunity
to make the cut with the Professionals for the Monday
final round.
Format: Teams
of 5 consisting of 4 amateurs and 1 pro compete over
2 days.
Saturday's format counts 1 gross ball, 2 net balls combined.
Sunday's format counts 2 net balls for a combined score.
Both rounds are added together to arrive at the Team Tournament Champion and the top teams are rewarded. |

Golf Association of Northern California (JGANC)
calendar and is a points event for upcoming junior
golfers. The two day tournament is held at Gold
Hills Golf Course and Wilcox
Oaks Golf & Country Club.
The tournament starts on Monday July 19th at Wilcox and finishes at Gold Hills on Tuesday July 20th. |

This Tournament is one that some aren't
aware of. Held at Fall
River Golf Course , this is a terrific golf course for
tournament play and at a great time of year. This NCGA points tournament sports a competitive field fighting for the Title.
Format: The
tournament has multiple flights for varying abilities of competitors. Many players participate in the handicapped flights for golfers in specific
handicap ranges. The tees used vary depending upon the
flight that you play in and you compete only against those in your flight. This tournament includes two days of competition and is held on Saturday and
Sunday, your total net score is added up
along with the others in your flight and the top finishers
are rewarded.
The Championship flight is played
with gross scores without the benefit of handicaps from the back tees over
the two day schedule.
